Dock Levellers
Dock levellers with hinged lip or telescopic lip
Hörmann dock levellers are well-designed solutions for precisely compensating the differences in height between various lorry floors and ramps. Using a dock leveller, the load can be moved in or out of the lorry in a single horizontal movement.
A sturdy steel construction with anti-twist platform easily compensates for lorry tilting, even if the load is not distributed evenly.
Reliable hydraulics with 2 lifting cylinders and a cylinder for the lip is the right choice for any situation, easy to operate and, above all, safe: these dock levellers are equipped with automatic emergency stop valves in the lifting cylinders. They secure the dock leveller right away. This is important, for example, if a lorry drives away while a load is still on the platform.
For every loading situation, Hörmann offers the right solution for efficient loading and unloading. You can obtain detailed consultation from your Hörmann loading technology specialist. For more information, please see the adjacent catalogue.
Loading houses - Well-protected on all sides
Loading houses are placed in front of the hall. This means that the entire hall space can be used, right up to the exterior walls. Hörmann loading houses are always a good choice if the hall does not permit the installation of interior ramps or there is no tailboard slot on the ramps. A complete loading house consists of a pedestal with dock leveller, wall and ceiling cladding, as well as a loading opening with dock seal/shelter.
In conjunction with insulated Hörmann industrial doors, loading houses are especially expedient for loading temperature-sensitive goods.
Lorries can then dock at a 90° angle or offset to the side at a tight angle.
Loading houses are available as individual units or as a row of houses.

Dock shelters/dock seals - Well-protected on all sides
Hörmann dock shelters and dock seals protect loaded goods from adverse weather conditions and also save energy costs by minimising heat loss. In addition to this, they prevent draughts that could result in worker absences due to illness. When combined with a dock leveller, dock shelters and seals mean that complex canopies and ramp assemblies are not required.
Hörmann flap shelters fit all lorry sizes and can thus be used universally. High-quality top and side flaps, mounted on a galvanised, compressible frame, result in a stable and tear-resistant construction. Flaps and frame parts are manufactured as easy-to-assemble individual elements that can be screwed together. This also makes replacements simple and inexpensive. Inflatable dock seals and cushion dock seals for special applications complete the comprehensive programme.
